Planning leads · Republic of Ireland
Every new build in Ireland, on the map the week it's lodged.
Rerouted reads the national planning register and eTenders, sorts every application into construction, farm buildings and solar, and puts the ones that matter to you in front of you twice a week.
Data you can stand over.
Lead board · clients only
Every lead in full, for clients
Clients see each application's townland, council reference and full description, the figures it states, when the decision is due, and links to the council file and a map pin. New leads arrive every Wednesday and Friday.
Farm and solar categories
Eight categories, read from the planning description
An application can sit in several at once: a cubicle shed over a slatted tank is both cow housing and slurry.
How it works
From the planning file to your phone, twice a week
Collect
Every Wednesday and Friday we read the national planning register, every council's applications in one place, plus construction notices on eTenders.
Sort
Each description is matched word by word against our category lists, with guards so a funeral parlour never counts as dairy. Retention-only applications are dropped.
Measure
Figures written into the application, such as cubicles, tank volumes, kWp and hectares, are pulled out exactly as stated.
Time it
Each lead shows when the council's decision is due, using the council's own date where it has one, so you know when to call.
Sources
Public records, checked and sorted
National planning register
The Department of Housing's national dataset of planning applications from every local authority.
Council planning files
Each lead links to the council's own file, with drawings, site notices and further information requests.
eTenders
Public works and building-services contracts from councils, the OPW, the HSE and schools.
Decisions
Grants and refusals on applications we've already flagged.
Commencement notices
BCMS notices confirming that construction has started on site.
Appeals
Cases before An Coimisiún Pleanála that may delay a project.
FAQ
Good questions
How often is the site updated?
Every Wednesday and Friday morning. The national register is reloaded once a week, usually between Saturday and Monday, so Wednesday brings that week's applications and Friday catches anything that loaded late, plus new tenders.
How long does a lead stay on the site?
Six weeks from the date the council received it. By then most applications have a decision or a request for further information.
What does "decision due" mean?
The earliest date the council can decide. Where the council records its own due date we show that; otherwise it's eight weeks from receipt, skipping 24 December to 1 January. A further-information request stops the clock until it's answered.
Where do figures like "630 kWp" come from?
Straight from the planning description, exactly as written. Nothing is estimated. About one application in five states a figure.
Why no applicant names?
Planning files contain personal details, and using them for direct marketing has to be lawful under data protection law. We show the project, place and council reference only.
What counts as a construction lead?
Applications for at least 10 homes or at least 1,000 m² of floor space, plus construction tenders on eTenders. One-off houses and small extensions are left out.
